Transportation to and from terminal on Land Packages

Transfers between cruise terminal and hotels are arranged for the main group and are coordinated with the main group’s flight itineraries.  It is incumbent upon the participants to adhere to this recommendation, cost for off schedule transportation will be the responsibility of the participant.

 

Roommate requirement

It is the responsibility of the participant to identify a qualified roommate.  The Trip Coordinator will aid, however, if a roommate is not identified prior to trip cancellation date, the participant has the option to pay for a single supplement if available or cancel less club cancellation fee before final payment.

Space City will no longer accept cash as payment for trips.  Credit Card, Check and Money Orders are acceptable forms of payment.

Transportation

This trip is offered as Land only; however, our Tour Operator Julie Vowell can assist with reserving your airfare. Julie recommends flying to Haneda (HND) Tokyo International Airport or Narita (NRT) International airport. HND is the closer airport to the cruise terminal in Yokohama. Flight itineraries for our dates will open in mid-June 2024. Ensure that you plan to arrive in Tokyo on Thursday, May 1st, 2025. For international flights it is recommended to reserve 6 months in advance. Non-stop flights are available from Houston through United Airlines.  The website will be updated with recommended flight itinerary once flights schedules are released.


Hotel One Night Stay Prior to boarding cruise ship:

SCSC will include one night hotel stay at the Intercontinental Yokohama Pier, Thursday May 1st (includes breakfast) prior to boarding the ship. The hotel is located right on the waterfront and a six-minute drive from the cruise terminal. Depending upon the majority of the flight arrival schedules on May 1st, a shuttle transfer to the hotel may be arranged by SCSC.  A shuttle is included in the land price to transfer our group from the hotel to the cruise terminal on Friday, May 2nd.

 

Accommodations

The following cabins will be offered: Ocean view cabin (window, no balcony) and Verandah balcony cabin. Celebrity’s “all Included” package includes their Classic Beverage package is offered, unlimited basic wi-fi , $50 per cabin on board credit, taxes and gratuity.

Expansive views make Ocean View Staterooms the ideal place to unwind at sea. These perfectly indulgent spaces come furnished with Celebrity’s eXhale bedding featuring the queen-size Cashmere Mattress and everything else a modern traveler need.

Day 1, Friday, May 2, 2025, departs 5:00 p.m. SCSC will be boarding the ship in the early afternoon.


Yokohama cruise. There are not many places on Earth that blend ancient tradition and the ultra-modern quite like Tokyo. Centuries-old gardens and cobblestone laneways live in perfect harmony with soaring skyscrapers and dazzling neon lights. Get immersed in an unrivalled dining scene, fashionable boutiques, and endless cultural encounters in this ever-evolving city.


Day 2 – Cruising at Sea


Day 3 – Kobe, Japan, arrival at 8:00 a.m., overnight departs at 5:00 a.m.

Perched on a hillside overlooking the sea, Kobe is one of Japan's most attractive and cosmopolitan cities. Home of the heralded Kobe beef. Visit the Hatsukura Sake Brewery Museum for a tour or dine in one of the area’s incredible restaurants.












Day 4 – Kyoto (Osaka), Japan arrives at 8:00 a.m., overnight

Visit Osaka Aquarium, one of the world’s largest aquariums which has over 580 species of sea life on display, or Universal Studios Japan, the company’s first theme park outside of the U.S. Kyoto served as the nation’s capital for more than 1000 years and is home to 17 different World Heritage Sites including Kiyomizudera Temple and Heian Jingu Shrine.











Day 5 – Kyoto (Osaka), Japan departs at 5:00 p.m.

Day 6 – Kochi, Japan, docked 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The capital of Kochi Prefecture on the southern coast of Shikoku is small, friendly, and boasts  attractions of interest to travelers. Make sure to enjoy Katsuo no tataki, Kochi's most famous dish, and visit the temple and botanical garden at Mount Godaisan.

Day 7 – Hiroshima, Japan, docked 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

While paying tribute to the infamous nuclear attack that destroyed the city in 1945, Hiroshima is a beacon of peace and prides itself on its exceptional natural beauty. See more than three hundred cherry blossom trees at Peace Memorial Park, journey to the breathtaking Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island, and take time to sample "okonomiyaki"—a delicious example of Japanese soul food.

Day 8 – Cruising at Sea

While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure. Lounge by the pool, enjoy the spa, taste the delicacies, or explore the venues on-board, until we arrive at the next amazing destination. While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure.

Day 9 – Jeju Island, South Korea, docked 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

South Korea's tropical island paradise will enchant you with its sandy beaches, swaying palm trees and amazing volcanic landscape. Need a break from your beach towel? Waterfalls, museums, folk villages, scuba diving, hiking and festivals galore will keep you busy. Explore the colorful coral and sea life with a scuba dive off the coast of laid-back Seogwipo. Take an underground stroll through the world’s longest lava-tube cave at Manjanggul.

Day 10 – Kagoshima, Japan, docked 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.









Kagoshima is the southernmost city on Japan's bullet train network and the capital of Kagoshima Prefecture.

The city is often compared to Naples, due to a similarly mild climate, streets lined with palm trees, and Sakurajima, Kagoshima's version of Vesuvius. Near port, find the fascinating Kagoshima aquarium, traditional Senganen Japanese gardens, museums, the Shiroyama mountain-top park with a view over the city, and Yakushima Island, a registered world heritage site. Plus, an abundance of hot springs, mud baths, and spas to promote serenity and relaxation.

Day 11 – Cruising At Sea

Day 12 – Mt. Fuji (Shimizu), Japan docked 7:00 am. to 7:00 p.m.

On clear days, particularly in winter, Mount Fuji (Fuji-san in Japanese) is visible from as far as Tokyo, 60 miles away. When Japan's highest mountain is capped with snow, it is a picture-postcard perfect volcanic cone. One of the best-known symbols of Japan, this iconic mountain is considered sacred since ancient times and was even forbidden to women until the early 1900s.

Day 13 - Tokyo (Yokohama) – disembarkation, arrival 6:30 a.m.

For those returning home on May 17th, transfer to the airport from the cruise terminal will be offered.




Optional post-cruise extension:

SCSC will offer an optional three-night/four-day post-cruise extension in Tokyo. Hotel and guided tours will be included, along with leisure time for individual exploration. Tours will include visits to various sights around the city such as the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Ueno Park, Ginza, Nijubashi Bridge, Senso-Ji Temple, Meiji Jingu Shrine and more. Price estimate pending and will be updated.







Travel Protection

Travel protection insurance offered by Celebrity or Dream Vacations is optional, however, it must be purchased at the time of your reservation. Our Tour Operator, Julie Vowell can assist with Travel Protection. It is not necessary to purchase through Celebrity or Dream Vacations if you have your own travel protection insurance.



Name Changes, Deposit, Progress and Final Payment

Deposit is 15% of trip cost per person, due upon trip signup. Progress payments will be due upon notification by SCSC prior to final payment.  SCSC will no longer accept cash as payment for trips.  Credit Card, Check and Money Orders are acceptable forms of payment.  Name changes are permitted for the second person listed in the cabin until 14 days prior to sailing. The lead person must stay on the booking to avoid penalty. The lead person is defined as person on original reservation.  If both people in the cabin cancel, then the following cancellation policy will apply.  Each participant must sign an acknowledgement of cancellation terms and conditions, the form will be provided by the TC.



Cancellation policy

Once final payment (Nov 21, 2004) has been made, the following cancellation penalties less SCSC cancellation fee will be in effect by Celebrity Cruises:

Jan 21-Feb 16, 2025, 25% penalty

Feb 17 – March 2, 2025, 50% penalty

Mar 3-April 1, 2025, 75% penalty

Apr 2-May 2, 2025, 100% penalty
