Thank You for Visiting Our New Website-Members, Remember to Login !!!
We are a non-profit, member run, Sports and Adventure Club operating in Houston, Texas for 50+ years. We offer 8 - 12 winter and summer trips per year, all over the world.
Our social, sports, cultural, and charitable events fill the calendar year-round. From September to May we have fun monthly general meetings normally held the 2nd Monday of the month. Happy Hours are the 4th Thursday of each month, year-round.
Popular local Houston Area activities this year were monthly dance lessons, monthly dinner gatherings, theater outings, and winery/brewery tours. Activities are run by volunteers, if there is something you are interested in doing, make a suggestion and we will consider offering it.
Initial trip sales generally start in August and sell briskly, so act quickly to avoid landing on a wait-list. Trip participation requires membership but it is only $40 for an Individual for an entire season. Have a look around and we hope you decide to Join Us. If you need some more time to decide, Click "Add Me to your Mailing List" (Top Left Corner)

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT JAN FERRELL
Another WOW meeting! We had over 100 members and guests attend to nosh on all kinds of great appetizers and everyone got a free drink ticket to boot. The ski swap had a lot of goodies and some folks walked away with some super bargains. For those of you who chose to take your unsold items to Sun and Ski for their Star of Hope coat drive—thank you. Our door prizes were a $25 Amazon gift card, $50 credit toward a trip and $75 towards a trip of your choice.
We will be back at the same location November 12th. I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel of my budget, but there will be one more free drink for each attendee.
One important topic to be brought up is emails. The Board has heard from some members that we send too many and we have found that some of you are not getting them at all. You do have the option to opt out or opt in regarding emails. The big problem with opting out is not getting pertinent information regarding any trip you have signed up for which could be an issue. On the other hand, let us know if you think we are sending too many. We are trying to find a balance. The Wizard of Websites, Dave Stotz, has instructions on how to opt in or out of emails on our website.
1) Hover your mouse cursor over your name in the upper right corner.
2) Click on "Profile".
3) In the "Personal Info" section, click on "Privacy/Cancel/Remove".
I appreciate all of you. Thank you for being a member of the best ski and adventure club in Texas!
Jan Ferrell President

Question - How do I update my member profile?
It is EXTREMELY important to keep your member profile accurate and up to date. Your Activity or Trip coordinator on any SCSC event is assuming that the data in your profile is accurate. If you have not input your correct Legal Name, you might not get onto your flight! If you didn't input your frequent flier #, you might not get miles for that flight!
Take a few seconds to make your life easier in the long run.
- Log onto the website, and hover over your name in the upper right corner, you will see a link to your Profile.
- If you click on Profile and then on the Member Profile page under PERSONAL INFO click on Contact Info to verify all data fields have been updated. NOTE - be sure to click on Save at the bottom of the page!
- Next click on Additional Member Data. Completing this page out makes it MUCH easier for a Trip Coordinator to get your vital info. Again be certain to click Save at the bottom of the page.
- For more fun, click on Standard Member Directory and upload a glamor shot of yourself so we can recognize you on trips! I did!

GETTING THE WORD OUT ABOUT SCSC! BIL CUSACK VP-MARKETING
Announcing a new SCSC Brochure!
Brochures can be a great way for an interested person to get a quick idea of our 'story' without having to wade through tons of material on the website. However they must be shared to be effective.
I want everyone to have this so the new Space City brochure will be easy and fun to share.
Share the "contact" in a text or email or any other way that your phone shares (check out the options).
- Save the name "Brochure" in your contacts (computer, phone, tablet).
- In the website field of that contact paste: online.fliphtml5.com/mure/nvxg/#p=1
- SAVE your new contact.
- When the subject of the club comes up, simply share your 'contact' with the interested party. They will then have the brochure to look over, and click the link in it to join or learn more.
