Ground Transportation
Transfers between airports and hotels are arranged for the main group and are coordinated with the main group’s flight itineraries.  It is incumbent upon the participants to adhere to this recommendation, cost for off schedule transportation will be the responsibility of the participant.
We have a charter bus taking us to/from Denver airport to our hotel in Copper Mountain. There is a 30 minute grocery stop on the way to Copper.

Roommate requirement
If a registrant is a single traveler, it is the responsibility of the participant to identify a qualified roommate. If the Trip Coordinator aids with roommate matching, it will be the responsibly for each participant to communicate and approve the match within two weeks of being notified by email. If participants do not agree, then one of the following options exist:
•    the option to pay for a single supplement (if available), or
•    be moved to the wait list, or
•    cancel less club cancellation fee before final payment
Room and/or Condo mate requests (new for 2025-26)
If you want a particular room and/or condo mates, please specify who they are.   If configurations work, we we will accommodate the request
Forms of Payment
SCSC will no longer accept cash as payment for trips.  Credit Card, Check, Cashier’s Check and Money Orders are acceptable forms of payment.

Air Transporation
You must book your own airfare if you wish to fly to Denver. The suggested flights are below for a bus pickup of 8:00AM sharp at Denver International Airport that will take us to our hotel at Copper Mountain.
United Airlines
03/07/26: UA #1874 departs Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) @ 5:05AM and arrives in Denver International Airport (DEN) @ 6:33AM.  
03/11/26: UA #475 from Denver International Airport (DEN) @ 7:15PM and arrives in Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) @10:35PM.

About Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain, just 75 miles west of Denver, offers over 2,500 acres of skiable terrain and around 150 trails served by 23 lifts. With a summit elevation of 12,313 feet and a base at 9,712 feet, the mountain features naturally divided terrain that progresses in difficulty from west to east—ideal for beginners, intermediates, and experts alike.

Skiers can explore 3 peaks, 4 alpine bowls, and enjoy an average of 305 inches of snowfall each season, providing reliable conditions all winter long.

o If you purchase before 9/9/2025, you get a free bonus day if you plan to ski extra or stay longer.
• This is an IKON pass mountain. If you plan to ski other IKON mountain trips, buy the season pass through Sports America for a discount www.sportsamerica.com/ikon-spacecity (password is snow)

Accommodations

We’re staying at the Cambria Hotel in Copper Mountain—less than a 5-minute walk to the Center Village Gondola. A free resort shuttle also loops through the village for easy access. Rooms include a mini-fridge and coffee maker. A humidifier is available upon request. There is a microwave and toaster in the hotel common area for guests to use if needed. Enjoy complimentary ski valet service and 2 outdoor hot tubs to relax after the slopes!

How to Fit in More Skiing

Official flights aren’t published yet, but the plan is to depart early Saturday morning from Hobby Airport to Denver. Our bus will pick us up at 8:00 AM in Denver and get us to Copper in time for optional Saturday afternoon skiing - early check-in could be available if you want to hit the slopes right away.

On the return, the bus departs Copper on Wednesday at 2:00 PM giving you plenty of time for Wednesday morning skiing with a late check-out. This means you could potentially squeeze out 4-5 days on the mountain!

If you’re interested in skiing on travel days or extending your stay beyond the group trip, let me know - I’d be happy to help arrange early check-in, late check-out, or room extensions if available.
